Neighbourhood Plan 2025 Review

Tetsworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) 2025 Review

07/10/25 Update:

The Regulation 14 consultation period closed on 6 October 2025. The NDP Steering Group and Tetsworth Parish Council will now consider comments made in all responses received. They will also consider the implications of planning inspectors requiring SODC and VoWH Councils to withdraw Joint Local Plan 2041 at the examination stage over housing numbers. Once agreed amendments have been incorporated into the NDP, Tetsworth Parish Council will submit the revised plan to SODC for a further publicity period.

Tetsworth’s Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) was ‘made’ and incorporated into the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035 in May 2021. Since then, it has been playing its part in determining local planning decisions. However, changes in village circumstances (such as the completion of Blackthorn Rise and the establishment of Harlesford Solar Farm), and revision of higher-level Planning Policy have triggered the need for review of our NDP.

The review and updating of the Plan has been undertaken under the guidance of Tetsworth Parish Council. The resulting draft NDP includes a number of proposed modifications and additions to its policies. The next stage, required by Regulation 14 of the NDP review process, is a 6 week local consultation on the revised document and its supporting evidence base and consideration of feedback.

Launch of the consultation period will be notified by the issue of a Tetsworth Parish Council letter posted on the Council website and village noticeboard, and announced via the Tetsworth Community Facebook page. The full suite of NDP documents will be posted on the Council website and sets of paper documents will be placed in three publicly-accessible locations in the village.
